Q: Is the thatch a Fire Hazard?
A: Although the thatch in its extremely dense woven state is not very easy to set alight, Africa Thatch does offer approved fire retardants at an additional cost. A certificate is supplied with the fire retardant.

Q: Are the units Waterproof?
A: All units are extremely waterproof. Only in a long hard continuous rain, does the thatch allow some water to penetrate.

Q: What about wind resistance?
A: We have wind tested under our own conditions, wind speeds up to 70 miles per hour.

Q: How long will the thatch roofing last?
A: With very little maintenance, a thatch roof owner can have a roof last for 20 years and more. Various climates do affect the life span of a thatch roof. In cooler climates, the thatch will last longer.

Q: Does Africa Thatch do financing?
A: Yes, but only in Southern California. 3 to 6 months same as cash.
